We were honored to have Calvin Harris, Western Dubuque graduate and Chicago White Sox draft pick, as a guest server for our annual Thanksgiving Day meal! 🦃⚾ Our students loved interacting with him, getting autographs, and hearing his story. It was an inspiring opportunity for them to see how dedication to academics and athletics can truly pay off. Thank you, Calvin, for being such a positive role model and giving back to our community. You’ve made this Thanksgiving meal extra special! 🍂🎉

As we reach the end of the first trimester, we're proud of all that our students and staff have accomplished in the first twelve weeks of school! Let's take this time to recharge, reflect, and get ready for even more learning and growth in the upcoming trimesters. As a reminder: there will be no school on Thursday, November 14, and Friday, November 15. Classes will resume on Monday, November 18. #wdbqschools

It's National School Bus Safety Week! Our incredible transportation team hauls our most precious cargo across 555 square miles daily in #wdbqschools. We rely on the dedication of 40 drivers, 15 substitutes, 3 mechanics, 1 director, 1 assistant director, and 1 transportation secretary to safely operate 31 morning routes and 34 afternoon routes, covering 1,931.5 miles every day. With 2,356 students transported daily, we couldn't be more grateful for their steadfast commitment to safety and excellence. Let's take a moment to thank them for their hard work and remind ourselves to prioritize bus safety every day!
