In observance of Labor Day, there will be no school on Monday, September 2 and district buildings will be closed. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 3. Have a safe and relaxing holiday! #wdbqschools

Tuesday, September 3, marks the first day of school for our preschool students in Western Dubuque Schools! We're excited to welcome our youngest learners to the start of their educational journey. We are looking forward to a great year together! #wdbqschools

Reminder: Wednesday, August 28, is a one-hour early dismissal for teacher professional learning and collaboration. This one-hour early dismissal schedule continues each Wednesday of the 2024-2025 school year unless noted on the District calendar: tinyurl.com/wdccsdcalendars.

We had a wonderful turnout for this event! Our Principal, Jenny Hillebrand, enjoyed a fun hour of helping students discover who the teachers will be and which friends are in the classrooms. We are all excited to start a new school year- bring on 2024-25!

Mrs. Hillebrand and the Dyersville Elementary PTO will be sponsoring our first ever Popsicles with the Principal on Monday, August 12th from 6 p.m.-7 p.m.! Elementary students can come and enjoy a popsicle, see their class list, and meet new friends. We hope to see you there!

The school year is fast approaching, and we are excited to see all of our new and returning families! Our Open House will now be on Wednesday, August 21st from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. Families are invited to come and visit their classrooms during this time. Teachers will be in their classrooms for a quick meet and greet. This is a great time to see the learning space and drop off supplies.
Thank you!

As the break from school is now upon our students, Resources Unite! wanted to provide a list of various resources that are available in the Tri-State area. Please visit www.tinyurl.com/wdresourcesunite if you are in need of assistance. We are proud to partner with this organization to best serve our students and families. #wdbqschools
